“I have been a patient of Ben Yates since early 2015 with an arthritis related problem in my right foot and ankle. This isn’t something that can be “cured” and therefore needs treatment to alleviate the pain. Mr Yates diagnosed and initiated my treatment with Hylaluronic injections which gives virtually instant relief and lasts for approximately 6 months with the most recent injection being effective for almost a year. From a relationship viewpoint Mr Yates is responsive and personable as well as professional in all of his consultations. On one occasion during the Covid pandemic he phoned me on his day off and spoke jointly to myself and my GP for over 30 mins when a flare up of my ankle had occurred which they diagnosed as cellulitis. He then arranged an MRI scan for the same day and prescribed medication accordingly. This is an example of Ben Yates’s care for his patients and I wouldn’t want any other consultant in his place.”

“The operation performed on my flatfoot involved 5 separate procedures. Mr Yates medical knowledge demonstrated in his diagnosis and his skill in performing the operation were superb. “Over the past three years I have had two separate surgical procedures on my feet, performed by Mr. Yates. In both cases the procedures were to correct a very painful condition caused by hammer toes and,again in both cases,the surgery was successful with complete pain relief.

The condition,surgical procedure and recovery were fully explained to me by Mr. Yates and any questions I raised were addressed. What I found reassuring was that I could get in touch with Mr. Yates at any time I had a concern about the procedure or subsequent recovery period. In fact during recovery of my recent procedure I “bumped into”Mr.Yates in the hospital while taking my wife to a consultation with another surgeon.
